Skyline University College integrates VISA innovation into fintech learning through BELOBABA
12 May 2025

In a landmark initiative poised to redefine the landscape of fintech education, Skyline University College (SUC) has entered into a strategic tri-lateral partnership formalised by Prof. Mohammad In’airat, Vice Chancellor of SUC, Jordan Pollack, President of Strategic Partnerships at Interlace Bin Sponsor VISA, and Lluís Mas, Chairman and Founder of BELOBABA.
To further strengthen academic and industry collaboration, Pollack and Mas, along with Pau Roig, CEO of BELOBABA, visited the SUC campus where they were welcomed by Prof. In’airat, Dr Deepak Kalra, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy and Quality Assurance), and Dr Naseem Abidi, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Operations).
This partnership comes at a pivotal time, as Skyline University College announced the launch of its Master of Financial Technology programme — an initiative reflecting the university’s commitment to preparing students for the demands of a rapidly evolving digital economy. Its validation by worldwide fintech leaders reinforces alignment with international fintech standards and industry-driven best practices.
“At BELOBABA, we believe education is the most powerful tool for transforming the future of finance. This partnership creates a platform for nurturing the next generation of fintech leaders — ones who are ready to navigate and shape the digital economy with innovation and responsibility.”
The partnership also paves the way for a state-of-the-art Fintech Lab on campus, offering students experiential learning through blockchain-integrated modules, real-time financial simulations, and access to emerging digital tools. Students will benefit from exclusive internship placements, certified training courses, and direct exposure to developments in the fintech and digital asset sectors.
A defining feature of this collaboration is the integration of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies into the academic framework. Looking ahead, and subject to regulatory approvals, the partnership envisions launching additional programmes that professionalise careers in decentralised finance (DeFi), smart contracts, and digital asset infrastructure.
“This collaboration between Skyline University, Interlace Bin Sponsor VISA and BELOBABA sets a benchmark for academia-industry partnerships in financial technology. It reflects a shared vision for building a sustainable, inclusive and globally connected financial ecosystem in the UAE and beyond.”
